Enactus World Cup 2015, 1, 700 Universities, 36 Competing Countries, One Enactus World Champion

JOHANNESBURG, October 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Qualified from more than 70, 500 university students on greater than 1,750 campuses these 36 teams have earned the honor of representing their country at the Enactus World Cup. Following the closely contested Semi-Final round, four university teams advance to the final round with only one team to be announced as the 2015 Enactus World Champion on Friday 16 October.

Present and future world leaders met this week at the Enactus World Cup to showcase entrepreneurial excellence and shared innovation to transform lives and create a better more sustainable world over three unforgettable days of competition, collaboration and celebration at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.

The high caliber of entrepreneurial projects for social impact presented at the Enactus World Cup have been remarkable with over 2 million people impacted over the past year through the global non-profit Enactus. Following the Opening Round of Competition, sixteen Semi-Finalist teams were announced on Thursday 15 October resulting in Friday morning's Semi-Finalist presentations with the final four teams to proceed to the prestigious final awards ceremony.

The final four teams in presenting order:

  • United States of America
  • Morocco
  • Korea
  • United Kingdom

One of the above teams which will be awarded the coveted title of Enactus World Champion 2015.
