Recent developments have allowed Sagemcom's product portfolio to address 3 wires/4 wires distribution networks using PLC technology, that can now be applied to any type of distribution network.

In the wireless space, Sagemcom is also proposing the latest cellular 2G/4G technologies in a native point-to-point configuration or to complement the PLC communication (Dual-Communication). Thanks to its capacities in 169Mz and Lora[TM] (as a founding member of LoRa Alliance) technologies, Sagemcom propose also an affordable and reliable radio solution for low power/throughput applications.

The architecture of Sagemcom solution allows managing the collection of data not only from electricity devices but also from Water, Gas and Heat meters. Where possible, such in Luxembourg, the electricity meter can act a hub to do such collection at the final customer metering point, avoiding the deployment of multiple communication networks. For a standalone non-powered meters, low power RF solution are used like 169 MHz for the 11 million Smart Gas meters of GrDF project in France.

Sagemcom is able to deploy End-to-End solutions from meters and sensors, though communication gateways and concentrators with associated Head-End System and up to data management system. These solutions are engineered from the start with high security features such as High Security Modules embedded in the Concentration devices and powerful encryption strategy for key distribution.

The End-to-End secured communication solution, can be used in different areas such as: Smart Metering, Street Lighting through Remote Relay Modules and Smart Grid to manage the simultaneous communication between sensors deployed over the Low Voltage and Medium Voltage. Sagemcom is ISO 27001 certified.

By choosing to use in-house manufacturing of its products, Sagemcom is able to propose cost optimized solutions and to guarantee time-to-market to its customers. Favoritenwechsel
