"We are excited about the comprehensive cloud capabilities that Office 365 brings our enterprise clients," saidJames Rodd, Modality Systems co-founder and general manager. "For organizations that want to move their meetings and voice solutions to the cloud, Modality stands ready to help implement and integrate the new Skype for Business services in Office 365, which deliver significant new value to the suite."

On December 1, Microsoft opened general availability for the cloud-based Skype for Business. These new services, available as part of the new Office 365 Enterprise E5 offering as well as separately, make it possible for companies to use Office 365 as their complete voice communications system, no longer requiring an on-premises Private Branch Exchange (PBX).

"The release of Skype for Business services such as Cloud PBX in Office 365 opens up a clear pathway to a truly connected and collaborative experience from the cloud, allowing organizations to plan a roadmap to even greater efficiencies, productivity gains and cost benefits. Modality's global approach, extensive end-user support and in-depth adoption programs will help organizations optimize their Office 365 investment and empower people to work better together," Rodd continued.

Giovanni Mezgec, Microsoft general manager of Skype for Business, commented, "Modality has demonstrated a high level of experience, training and commitment to the Skype for Business platform, and is prepared to help customers benefit from adopting the existing and new Skype for Business services."

To further educate customers on the Office 365 enterprise offering, the Modality team will host a webinar on the subject of 'What does Skype for Business and Office 365 E5 mean for you?' on Tuesday, December 15, 2015.
