Lucibel achieved group revenues of € 6.8m for the fourth quarter of 2015, stable compared to Q4 2014, which brings total consolidated revenues for 2015 to 28.1million €, up 14.4% compared to 2014. This performance highlights the growth in French sales during the second half of 2015 as well as the sustained development of the group's international sales all over 2015.
Indeed, Lucibel sales in France reached € 5.6m in Q4 2015 bringing total French sales in the second half of 2015 to € 11.0m, a 7.9% growth compared to the second semester of 2014. This performance, after experiencing a no growth first half year, includes the first effects of the strategical decisions taken in 2015 as well as the evolution in the sales organization. These decisions notably led to the launch of a new product range dedicated to the retail industry and to the office segment in the first semester of 2015, and to the development of a value added solutions approach dedicated to the final client and operated from the Lucibel development and assembly site located in Barentin (Haute Normandie). In the same time, the resources allocated to the subsidiaries Cordel and Procédés Hallier have been enhanced in order to develop their sales in the retail markets and associated segments (stores, logistic centers etc.) as well as in the museums and luxury shops markets. Cumulated 2015 annual group sales in France amount to € 21.0m, stable compared to 2014.
The year 2105 was marked by a very significant increase in the group's international sales. Reaching €1.2m in Q4'2015, total annual international sales amount to € 7.1m growing by 88.3%. International sales now account for a quarter of Lucibel's total revenue compared to 15.3% in 2014.
This strong results were triggered by sales progression on all geographies targeted by Lucibel abroad, and particularly in the Middle East and Africa area where the group's revenue reached € 4.2m in 2015 (+ 147.8%). In this area, the group has been deploying significant means over the past two years for customer acquisition and products prescription. The year 2015 was marked by the delivery of the first significant project in Saoudi Arabia as well as the fast development of sales for Lucibel' Middle Eastern subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) that reached € 3.1m in 2015, growing by 182.2%.
Lucibel keeps on benefiting from its international development strategy based on a selective allocation of resources to high potential regions.
2016 activity outlook
On a rapidly and deeply changing LED lighting market, Lucibel will keep on implementing its commercial and operational efficiency improvement plan over 2016 by capitalizing on :
- the sales development potential in France and abroad of Cordel's activities, whose products and services offer should be completed and broadened in order to address the entirety of the lighting needs expressed by the retail brands (stores, parking areas, warehouses, etc) ;
- The know-how of the Procédés Hallier and Lucibel Barentin technical teams in order to develop a new product range and solutions offer with a high added value, tailored for the needs of a professional customer base;
- The launch of a new product range dedicated to the offices and health segments, including the first LiFi solutions commercialized through the SLMS (Schneider Lucibel Managed Services) subsidiary or directly by Lucibel (high bandwidth LiFi).
In this context and keeping a deep attention on adapting its fixed costs with its business evolution, the group will keep focusing its resources on high potential geographical areas and will arbitrate, on a case-by-case basis, the most efficient commercialization mode.
