SUNNYVALE (dpa-AFX) - Maxim Integrated Products Inc. (MXIM) released a profit for second quarter that declined compared to the same period last year.
The company said its earnings fell to $92.82 million, or $0.32 per share. This was down from $93.68 million, or $0.33 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.32 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.9% to $510.83 million. This was down from $566.81 million last year.
