Project Aims to Demonstrate Value of Remote Monitoring for Management of Chronic Diseases
ForaCare Suisse AG located in St. Gallen, Switzerland, announced today its Diamond GD50 health monitoring device is featured in the "United4Health European Project" via its partnership with Meter Ltd., FORA's Italian distributor.
The United4Health European Project aims to demonstrate the value of remote monitoring services for the management of chronic diseases such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Meter's Diabtel.net is a free telemonitoring system that provides a platform for self-monitoring tools such as ForaCare's blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring devices and system.
Diabtel.net provides infrastructure for the telehealth project's work, which featured the FORA® Diamond GD50 blood glucose monitoring device, in Italy that was developed in two regions: Campania and Calabria. Diabtel.net managed blood glucose monitoring in Campania. The Campania project, which began in April 2015, includes 120 insulin-treated patients who are monitored with four measurements per day over 12 months.
