3E Company: 3E Company and Linx-AS Announce Strategic Alliance to Optimize Integrated Content for SAP Recipe Development

Collaboration Aims to Help Customers Verify Compliance Early in the Product Development Lifecycle for Increased Efficiency and Reduced Risk

Carlsbad, Calif., March 22, 2016 - 3E Company, a leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, and Linx-AS LLC, a consulting and software development firm specializing in product lifecycle management (PLM), regulatory compliance, and user experience (UEx) solutions, today announced a strategic alliance to deliver integrated solutions designed to enable customers to more effectively and efficiently establish proactive compliance processes in early-stage product development. 3E Company is a Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK) business.

As a result of the strategic alliance, Linx-AS will feature the award-winning Ariel® regulatory content from 3E Company as part of its SAP® Recipe Development installations. Ariel content provides extensive insight into regulated chemicals, ingredients, and other substances that companies in a range of industries, including food, flavors, personal care, and chemicals, require to enhance global compliance. Integrating this specialized content with SAP Recipe Development provides customers with instant access to regulatory insights and data by substance in SAP Recipe Development, enabling companies to quickly check the regulatory status of the ingredients in their formulation and determine if they are permissible in the end product application and use concentration.

Linx-AS and 3E Company will work closely together to ensure that the data is seamlessly integrated with the Recipe Development application and its compliance check functionality. To accelerate implementation and ensure data integrity, Linx-AS will employ its design and migration tools, developed over years of SAP PLM implementation experience within its global customer base of process manufacturers.

"Companies around the globe rely on 3E regulatory content to aid in their decision making; however, fully optimizing this rich data can be a complex and cumbersome process without access to expert guidance," said Uday Virkud, CEO and president, 3E Company. "Our collaboration with Linx-AS helps our joint customers ensure their Recipe Development installations are optimally configured with 3E's award-winning Ariel regulatory content to recognize the full benefits of their system."

"R&D organizations are increasing investment in enterprise product development platforms to unify data and to improve productivity and profitability. It makes perfect sense to integrate compliance into this IT strategy as well, because faster to market is a hollow win in the face of recalls and product waste," said Dave Wong, senior vice president of SAP solutions, Linx-AS. "Our collaboration with 3E Company delivers a comprehensive solution to SAP Recipe Development customers, building on the global framework of SAP for process manufacturers and 3E's proven intelligent compliance solutions."
