One-stop Shop for Screen Panels - Schenck Process Continues to Focus on Customer Proximity and is the First Company to Establish a Production Site for Injection-molded Screen Panels in Brazil

DARMSTADT, Germany, March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

By investing in a production site for injection-molded screen panels in São Paulo, the Schenck Process Group is continuing to consistently focus on optimizing productivity and process efficiency for its customers. With shorter delivery and response times as well as local technology know-how, the German machine builder is pursuing its stated strategy and also underlining the importance of the Brazilian mining market.

Since Schenck Process had previously supplied the Brazilian market with injection-molded screen panels from Australian brand Screenex, setting up a local production site sees the company build on local expertise to offer its customers optimum local support and advice:

"As parts critical to processes, screen panels require a high degree of process knowledge, short delivery and response times and consistently high quality. Our products and services help our customers to optimize productivity while also reducing overall operating costs. This is our philosophy and we are consistently delivering it by investing in a local production site and innovative production technology,"

explains Edgar Blum, President Service & Process Solutions.

Schenck Process is setting standards with Screenex polyurethane and rubber injection-molded screen panels. Compared with other methods, this technology that has long been successful on the Australian market has major benefits. A closed, computer-controlled process ensures that all Screenex screen panels have consistently high quality dimensions, apertures and properties - and an extended service life. The specific materials and processes used for Screenex screen panels are configured by experienced experts so that customers receive individual screen panels optimized to their application and needs.

Against the background of ever increasing pricing pressure in the steel and mining industry, improvements to process efficiency have become incredibly important. Depending on configuration and application, Screenex screen panels last up to 400% longer and have up to 70% more process efficiency than other screen panel technologies. Much fewer screen panel changes increase system availability and thereby improve efficiency. The investment pays off very quickly thanks to much lower operating costs and an enhanced end product quality.

Through the local production of high-quality injection-molded screen panels and local service and process advice, the Schenck Process Group is offering its Brazilian customers key productivity and economic viability benefits.
