GM Financial Strengthens UK Management

Mark Tweed named new Managing Director

GMAC UK, the British subsidiary of GM Financial Inc., the automotive financial services company of General Motors, announces the promotion of Mark Tweed, currently Chief Financial Officer, to Managing Director UK and Sweden, effective April 1. This position has been established to further strengthen the automotive business and serve dealers and customers even better.

Tweed will have the responsibility for the retail and wholesale business in the UK and Sweden and report to Erhard (Ed) Paulat, Executive Vice President for GM Financial in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Denise Buckley, currently Director of IO Financial Systems at GM Financial in the US, will succeed Tweed as CFO for the UK and Sweden assuming the responsibilities for finance and accounting in both countries.

Tweed is a chartered accountant and fellow of theInstitute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He joined GM Financial in August 2007 as Financial Controller. In 2008, he was named Chief Financial Officer, expanding his CFO responsibilities initially to Sweden and then to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2013. Before joining the company he held positions in private practice and financial service companies, including PwC and Lloyds Bank plc. He is and will continue to be an approved person for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
