Over 24,000 companies, more than 60,000 booths and nearly 1.2 million square meters of exhibition space
GUANGZHOU, China, April 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The 119th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) officially began on April 14, with the official opening press conference for the spring version of the exhibition taking place in Guangzhou, China.
The general exhibition layout and detailed maps were revealed and this year's exhibition space will cover 1.18 million square meters to host 60,233 stands set up by 24,512 companies from across the world.
The 119th Canton Fair continues the exhibition format of combining import and export sectors. The National Pavilion features 59,243 booths divided into 50 exhibition sections in 16 product categories, while the International Pavilion will be set up in the first and third phases of the exhibition. There are 124 specialized exhibit zones in the 27 exhibition sections, covering a wide range of industries from new energy and pet products to outdoor spas and motorcycles.
In addition to the exhibitions, the 119th Canton Fair will also host 60 design exhibits, forums and meetings that cover six major current market issues. The International Pavilion will also host various trade matching activities focusing on similar topics, in an attempt to better improve the experiences of both the international exhibitors and buyers at the Canton Fair.
