3E Company: 3E Company Introduces Expanded Hazard Communication Authoring Services to Help Customers Improve Safety and Regulatory Compliance

Experienced Team of Regulatory Experts to Offer New Exposure Scenario Authoring,
SDS Monitoring and Regulatory Change Notification, and SDS Authoring Training Services

Carlsbad, Calif., May 12, 2016 - 3E Company, a leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced the expansion of its industry-leading hazard communication authoring services. To help customers worldwide strengthen product stewardship and improve workplace safety, 3E will now offer new Exposure Scenario Authoring, SDS Monitoring and Regulatory Change Notification, and SDS Authoring Training services. 3E Company is a Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK) business.

"Creating and maintaining comprehensive, updated hazard communication documentation that conforms to complex, constantly changing regulations in multiple jurisdictions worldwide is a challenging and resource-intensive task for manufacturers," said Uday Virkud, CEO and president, 3E Company. "With our broad expanse of expert authoring services, we can equip clients to provide their employees and downstream customers with unlimited access to critical safety information more efficiently while reducing risk and improving compliance."

New Exposure Scenario Authoring Services
3E has expanded its Exposure Scenario (ES) Authoring services, aimed at streamlining conformance with the European Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulatory framework. The Exposure Scenario Authoring services help alleviate the burden of producing lengthy and complex Extended Safety Data Sheet (eSDS) documents for customers. 3E can now author eSDSs for both substances and mixtures. The company offers support for the latest industry-sector Safe Use Mixture Information (SUMI) approach and templates and expertise with the universal Lead Component Identification (LCID) methodology.

In addition, 3E has developed a complete, ready-to-use, high-quality Exposure Scenario Phrase Library containing phrases translated into European Economic Area (EEA) languages. The company translated the industry-standard ESCom phrase catalogue to help maintain quality and accuracy.

"We are active participants in the European Chemicals Agency's (ECHA) Exchange Network on Exposure Scenarios," said Clark VanScoder, senior vice president, authoring software and services, 3E Company. "This collaborative network aims to identify best practices on preparing and implementing exposure scenarios and develop an effective communication exchange between supply chain actors. 3E is proud to participate with other industry-leading organizations to improve the protection of human health and the environment."

New SDS Monitoring and Regulatory Change Notification Services
Countries continually update SDS and label requirements to reflect evolving regulations and chemical hazard information. 3E provides SDS Monitoring and Regulatory Change Notification services to monitor all regulatory changes affecting the SDSs authored for customers and advise when updates are required. 3E prepares a Regulatory Impact Analysis report, which identifies each SDS and label requiring an update along with the change that has occurred.

New SDS Authoring Training Services
3E offers hands-on SDS authoring training conducted by regulatory compliance experts. Attendees can learn how to access reliable data, write compliant SDSs, generate accurate classifications for the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), use best practices, and more.

3E's new expanded authoring services are available immediately.
