Cargotec Corporation: Hiab introduces the small and productive MULTILIFT Futura 8 skiploader for urban use

Hiab, part of Cargotec, is introducing the MULTILIFT Futura 8 skiploader that is ideal for urban use within confined city streets.

The MULTILIFT Futura 8 joins the new-generation MULTILIFT Futura (http://futura.multilift.com/) family which currently includes a 12-tonne skiploader featuring innovative design, top performance and durability.

The smaller-sized skiploader can easier be carried on a smaller truck. The completely redesigned lightweight steel construction gives more payload without compromising strength, meaning that customers can haul more while saving fuel. For higher uptime, the MULTILIFT Futura 8 features service-friendly design that makes it faster to carry out routine checks and provides easy access to all key components.

A modular system of control options gives flexibility: "Retrofitting is made easy according to changing needs. You will pay only for what you need, and when you need it, be it in-cab, radio remote or outside control, or a customised combination of these," tells Hans Ekman.

The MULTILIFT Futura 8 adds several leading-edge safety innovations, such as hydraulic side stops, hydraulic container lock and safety interlocks, boosting safety for both the operator and people nearby.   

The new MULTILIFT Futura 8 will be shown at the RWM exhibition (http://www.rwmexhibition.com/) in Birmingham, UK on 13-15 September on Hiab's stand 5Y20-ZZ21.

The global launch will take place at the IAA in Hannover, Germany on 22-29 September. The new MULTILIFT Futura 8 will be demonstrated in the outdoor display area.
