Dr. Tommaso Castroflorio and Dr. Francesco Garino, two highly respected orthodontists and lecturers, say that AcceleDent, when used for 20 minutes a day by patients, improves aligner tracking and predictability. One of his patients, a 25-year-old female, presented as a Class II malocclusion with a transversal deficiency and excessive 10+ mm overjet. The patient is a makeup artist who travels frequently between the United Kingdom and the United States so she was interested in a comfortable and efficient orthodontic solution. Castroflorio prescribed aligner therapy with AcceleDent. Her treatment included 60 aligners with a projected duration of 30 months without AcceleDent. With AcceleDent however, the patient completed treatment in 18 months without any midcourse corrections or refinement aligners.

When assessing retention at the patient's one-year follow up appointment, Garino reported that results remained stable.
