Such lack of snow has reported across the globe. In 2015 in Japan, the lack of snowfall in Japan has led to many ski resorts closed.

In December, more than 60% of the big 54 big resorts in Hokkaido, one of the most prominent places for ski in Japan, cancelled their ski services due to lack of snowfall. Temperature in such prominent ski areas remained above 32°F during the December, which is the peak time for ski.
