Research and Markets - Global Home Theatre Projector Market CAGR Growth of 7.63% by 2020 - Trends, Technologies & Opportunities Report 2016-2020 - Vendors: Sony, 3M, Canon

DUBLIN, November 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Global Home Theatre Projector Market 2016-2020" report to their offering.

The global home theatre projector market is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 7.63% during the period 2016-2020.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: One of latest trends in the market is pocket-sized projectors. Pico or pocket projectors are little larger in size than regular cell phones. They can accommodate videos and photos and are considered as multimedia display systems. However, they generally offer comparatively lower brightness than regular projectors. Manufacturers catering to this segment have started introducing HD pico projectors. For instance, in October 2015, Sony introduced its MP-CL1 mobile projector, a pico projector that delivers HD resolution using laser light as a source.

According to the report, one of the primary drivers in the market is enhanced gaming and movie viewing experience. The preference for a theater-like movie or gaming experience, on a large screen, is increasing among consumers all across the world. This is one of the primary drivers for the growth of the global home theater projector market. For the desire to watch a Blu-ray movie, or live sports, or just photographs from a mobile device, onto a 100-inch plus screen size, a home theater projector is the ideal choice.

Further, the report states that one major challenge in the market is stiff competition from the decreasing price of large-screen TVs. One of the primary challenges that the global home theater projector market faces is the growing demand for large-screen TV sets. The high penetration of TVs reduces the adoption rates of home theater projectors. In countries like the US and Canada, the penetration of digital TVs is around 91% and 90%, respectively. In Europe, several countries such as Spain, the UK, Italy, and France have almost 100% penetration rates. In developing countries such as China and India, the penetration rates of TVs are increasing rapidly, with manufacturers launching TV sets with good picture quality at affordable prices.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
