All the devices discussed in this report are single-use and therefore correspond one-to-one with the underlying procedure, such as, for example, one stone-removal balloon device is used for one stone-removal procedure.

The major contributors to the unit growth in this market are ERCP guidewires and sphincterotomes due to the high volume and strong growth profiles of these products. This is a mature market which grows in-line with macro factors such as elderly population. One extra factor contributing to the growth is expanding therapeutical capability of the devices. In general, the pricing is stable in all of the segments.
