WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Steel stocks have moved sharply higher over the course of the trading session on Tuesday, driving the NYSE Arca Steel Index up by 5.9 percent. With the jump, the index has reached a nearly two-year intraday high.
The strength among steel stocks may be due to President-elect Donald Trump's pledge to pull out of the massive free trade deal known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership on his first day in office.
