Assembling new team dedicated to foundational long-term relationships
Bjarne Graven Larsen, Chief Investment Officer, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, today announced that Jonathan Hausman has been promoted to lead the new Global Strategic Relationships department, which is responsible for developing and cultivating mutually beneficial investment relationships around the world. His appointment as Managing Director and Head of Global Strategic Relationships is effective January 1, 2017.

Mr. Hausman joined Ontario Teachers' in 2004. He moves into his new role from Ontario Teachers' Capital Markets department, where he has been responsible for the Fund's global hedge fund portfolio, as well as its internal global macro and systematic trading strategies. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Mr. Hausman was Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where he managed sovereign risk strategy and advised government clients on their external financings and international credit ratings from the London, New York and Hong Kong offices.

Jonathan holds a BA (Hons.) from McGill University, an MSc. (Econ.) from the London School of Economics, and an MPA from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He alsohas ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors, and chairs the Advisory Board of the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and the Canadian Council for the Americas.
