announced today that it has won the bidding to provide exclusively a
combined bus and subway payment wristband (??? Wuhan City Transportation
Pass) for Hubei Bank. This wristband enables financial payment, transport,
ticketing, sports and health functions and exemplifies Goldpac's development
in innovation subsequent to the release of its luxury payment watch for the
Industrial Bank in China.
This innovative wristband is embedded with an EMVCo security certified
microprocessor and is compliant with the PBOC 3.0 specification. With this
robust security system, wristband users can swipe across any POS or ATM
carrying the QuickPass logo to complete a transaction. This provides a safer
and easier payment experience for end-users.
At present, the Wuhan City Transportation Pass (???) is interoperable within
more than 8 cities in Hubei province. This wristband delivers greater
convenience to people in and around Wuhan city. In addition, it also offers
APP recharging and transaction tracking. In the near future, the wristband
will expand its feature set to include Bluetooth positioning, access control
and e-parking functions to further explore the possibilities within the
mobile payment domain.
