Live Streaming Workshop: "Exploring Threats and Opportunities through Mega Trends in the Space 4.0 Era"

Virtual workshop to explore the opportunities and threats brought by global Mega Trend in the Space 4.0 era

LONDON, Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --The global space sector is currently undergoing a transformation as it shifts from being the preserve of the governments of a few spacefaring nations to be redefined by the emergence of private companies, participation with academia, industry and citizens, digitalisation and global interaction.

In pursuit of its vision of "Space 4.0 for a United Space in Europe," the European Space Agency (ESA) is partnering with Frost & Sullivan to explore the impact of global Mega Trends on our societies, economies, organisations and private lives.

"The future is the ever-changing environment within which we operate, but the shape of that future is determined by what we do today. In the era of Space 4.0 - as in our own lives - we have to be adaptive to change, and nurture a culture of pro-activeness and open-mindedness to both disruption and opportunity," noted Gianluigi Baldesi, Senior Corporate Development Coordinator at ESA's Strategy Department.

Join experts from Frost & Sullivan, a dedicated team from all ESA Directorates and stakeholders in the space ecosystem for the live streaming of this unique collaborative workshop from ESA's ESTEC technical centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, on Monday, 23rd October 2017 from 10:00 CEST (09:00 BST). This particular initiative is intended to spark ideas and discussion from within the Agency ahead of a dedicated workshop on mega trends and the space sector next month.
