10 Phones Were Analyzed in 40+ Individual Tests with 100+ Different Criteria
SAN FRANCISCO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / December 18, 2017 / Android Authority, the world's leading publication for all things Android, has announced the winners of its annual "Best of Android" awards. The publication utilized an advanced proprietary methodology, using 40 individual tests and more than 100 different criteria. It began with 10 semi-finalists and through a barrage of tests has declared the Huawei Mate 10 Pro the "Best Smartphone of 2017." The Huawei Mate 10 Pro narrowly beat out the Galaxy Note 8 and OnePlus 5T, which placed second and third respectively. Android Authority will present physical awards at the upcoming CES show, Jan 9-12, 2018, in Las Vegas.

After nearly 24,000 votes, the People's Choice for Best Smartphone winner is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, with the OnePlus 5T second and Google Pixel 2 XL third.

In addition to the "Best Smartphone of 2017," Android Authority also awarded a "Best Brand of 2017" which is recognition of the company which seemed most impressive in moving their brand forward in 2017. Overall, the editors and writers of Android Authority felt Nokia (HMD) was the leader in this, followed by Samsung and Huawei.
