London stocks fell in early trade on Thursday, taking their cue from a negative close on Wall Street as investors eyed the latest minutes, rate announcement and quarterly Inflation Report from the Bank of England at midday. AT 0830 GMT, the FTSE 100 was down 0.4% to 7,248.41, while the pound was up 0.1% against the euro at 1.1324 and 0.2% weaker versus the dollar at 1.3858.
