Initial US jobless claims drifted slightly lower last week, with secondary claims moving to fresh multi-decade lows. Over the week ending on 9 June, initial US jobless claims slipped by 4,000 to reach 218,000, according to the Department of Labor. Economists had forecast a reading of 220,000.
