"The Wall" has set records. The double album with the distinctive "Wall" artwork is the bestselling double album in the world, still unbeaten today. The multi-media interactive exhibition "The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains" opening its doors tomorrow in the Dortmund "U" should also be filed in the drawer marked "Superlative". The script for the retrospective exhibition offers a look back to a unique band's career. What can be seen and heard is 50 years of music history over 1,000 square metres, arranged chronologically from the beginnings of the British cult band of the 1960s to the present day. With the story being told via more than 350 exhibits, many previously unseen, the perfectly synchronised innovative audio technology enables the distinctive sound of Pink Floyd to be experienced. Music fans from throughout Germany will undoubtedly flock to the exhibition from 15 September 2018 to 10 February 2019.
Founding member Nick Mason guest appearance
Anyone visiting the "U" to trace the footsteps of the British cult band is either a fan of the non-conformist rebels who made people sit up and listen with the progressive style mix of rock, jazz, blues and classical, or will instantly be turned into a new fan. Making a special appearance at the exhibition ahead of its opening will be Nick Mason, founding member of the band.
