Groupe Gorgé, through its subsidiary Baumert, has signed a contract of more than $6M with Williams Industrial Services Group for the supply of fire-retardant partitioning systems of Vogtle 3&4 nuclear plant in Georgia, USA. Based on Westinghouse AP1000 technology, this nuclear plant is the first nuclear new build in the USA for the past 30 years.
This contract covers the design, certification and supply of fire-retardant partitioning systems and various protections (doors, cable trays, ventilation duct) as well as training and technical support to Williams Industrial Services Group who will manage the installation of the project.
The project will start immediately and will be completed in the second half of 2020.
Over the years, Baumert has supported the construction of nuclear power plants worldwide in most of nuclear technologies. This award demonstrates Baumert's expertise of Westinghouse AP1000 technology which started in March 2013, with the award of similar packages for the four AP1000 units of SanMen and Haiyang nuclear plants in China.
