Cosmo Pharmaceuticals reicht Zulassungsantrag für Methylenblau MMX 200 mg Tabletten bei Europäischer Arzneimittel-Agentur ein
Dublin, Irland - 12. Februar 2019 - Cosmo Pharmaceuticals N.V. (SIX: COPN) reichte heute den Zulassungsantrag für Methylenblau MMX 200 mg Tabletten bei der Europäischen Arzneimittel-Agentur (EMA) ein. Methylenblau MMX dient zur Visualisierung und dem Nachweis von Läsionen bei Patienten, die sich einer Kolonoskopie unterziehen.
Im Hinblick auf die Patienteninteressen wurde dem Dossier das zentrale Genehmigungsverfahren erteilt. Das bedeutet, dass bei Erteilung der Genehmigung eine solche automatisch in allen EU-Mitgliedstaaten wirksam wird. Es wird erwartet, dass das Überprüfungsverfahren innerhalb von 12 Monaten abgeschlossen wird.

Die FDA hat kürzlich auch Aemcolo zugelassen, Cosmo's erstes Antibiotikum zur Behandlung von Reisedurchfall. Die von Cosmo entwickelte MMX-Technologie bildet den Kern der Produktpipeline des Unternehmens und wurde aus der Erfahrung bei der Formulierung und Herstellung von Magen-Darm-Medikamenten für internationale Kunden in den eigenen GMP-Anlagen (Good Manufacturing Practice) in Lainate, Italien, entwickelt.
