STATEN ISLAND, NY / ACCESSWIRE / March 13, 2019 / VSB Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: VSBN), the holding company for Victory State Bank, announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per share, payable on April 1, 2019, to stockholders of record on March 22, 2019. Joseph J. LiBassi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated, "We are pleased to announce our forty-sixth consecutive cash dividend. "We believe that our cash dividends supplement the value we deliver to our stockholders."
Raffaele M. Branca, President and Chief Executive Officer, reported, "Our dividend payout ratio is 21.7% on fourth quarter 2018 earnings. Our fourth quarter income was boosted by the payoff of two loans that were previously non-accrual, and we continue to report strong core earnings."
VSB Bancorp, Inc. is the one-bank holding company for Victory State Bank. Victory State Bank, a Staten Island based commercial bank, commenced operations on November 17, 1997. The Bank's initial capitalization of $7.0 million was primarily raised in the Staten Island community. The Bancorp's total equity stood at $35.0 million by December 31, 2018.
