Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - July 25, 2019) - DXI Energy Inc. (TSX: DXI) (OTCQB: DXIEF) ("DXI" or the "Company"), an upstream oil and natural gas exploration and production company operating projects in Colorado's Piceance Basin and the Peace River Arch region in British Columbia, today announces the Company has closed a private placement of 5,835,667 shares at $0.06 per share for gross and net proceeds of $350,140. The private placement was previously announced on June 13, 2019 and is subject to the final approval of the TSX and the appropriate Canadian regulatory authorities.
Company President & CEO, Simon Raven, subscribed for 4,376,750 shares representing 75% of the private placement ($262,605) while CFO David N. Matheson subscribed for 1,458,917 shares representing 25% of the private placement ($87,535).
Proceeds from the private placement will be applied towards further development of the Company's expanding Gething formation natural gas play at Woodrush, B.C. and general working capital.
