MB Coffee Group: The Premium Arabica Growers Behind Leading Coffee Retailers

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 1, 2020 / Coffee is one of the most celebrated drinks in the world. From being a household staple to a part of socializing, coffee proves to be a vital component in today's society. For a century, MB Coffee Group has been producing world-class, 100% pure Brazilian specialty coffee and is among the world's leading coffee exporters. The company has provided its products for Starbucks, Nespresso, Nescafe, Walmart, Amazon, Sam's Club, Whole Foods, and many others.

MB Coffee Group, or MB Agropecuária as it is called in Brazil, was founded in 1920. Generations of coffee growers have nurtured the company. As they celebrate their 100th anniversary, MB Coffee Group is continuing to strengthen their family heritage. It started with the patriarch Jose Martin de Barros, who passed the tradition to his children. Current CEO Paulo Fiod de Barros is carrying the lineage of coffee growers, along with his daughter Fernanda Maretto de Barros Gabbert.

MB Coffee Group harvests from two farms in Brazil called Farm Sao Paulo and Farm San Antonio, covering about 20,000 hectares of land. The company has over five million coffee plants and other products such as soy, sugar cane, cattle, and corn. As it has been a family-operated company, most of MB Coffee's employees have been with them for generations. "They are not workers. They are our friends and family," said Fernanda Maretto de Barros Gabbert.

The growers' aromatic and quality coffee is produced in the Alta Mogiana region in Brazil, a highly coveted area for coffee beans that boasts fantastic scenery. CEO Paulo Fiod de Barros vividly remembers how he grew up in coffee farms. "It's a lineage of amazing coffee growers. We have many other farms and businesses, but this one is the closest one to our heart," said Paulo. MB Coffee Group not only carries the legacy of a family but also captures the essence of Brazilian coffee at its finest.

Today, Paulo's daughter Fernanda Maretto de Barros Gabbert, and her husband Gunther Gabbert, are taking the reins for MB Coffee Group as the company plans to expand further into the international market. "I have a lot to learn from my father, as he has over 50 years of experience in this industry," Fernanda said. She earned her master's degree in law from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago. After working for the World Bank in Washington, D.C., for over ten years, Fernanda went back to Brazil to let her children experience what her family has been passionate about for a century.

MB Coffee Group values sustainable and ethical practices when producing their coffee. The company attests that Brazil is one of the most sustainable countries in the world. To uphold their standard, they also are using ecologically friendly practices. MB Coffee also supports directly trading their goods to retailers so that consumers can be guaranteed nothing but the best.

"We love other roasters and exporters, but we differentiate ourselves with quality. We strive to produce the best product at a reasonable price for people around the world to try exceptional Arabica coffee. Our goal is to constantly challenge ourselves to give the best to our customers," said Fernanda. MB Coffee Group has adapted with the times, using both traditional practices and modern methods. The company envisions further their distribution channels and reaches more coffee lovers globally with constant research on the latest technologies.
