The board of Lehto Group Oyj ("Lehto") and CEO Juuso Hietanen have jointly agreed that Hietanen's CEO contract will expire on April 30, 2024. Hietanen will continue working for the company as an advisor until the end of May 2024, during which time Hietanen's key task will be to promote the sales and reorganization of the business parts of Lehto's subsidiary Lehto Components Oy.
The company's board has appointed board member Hannu Lehto as CEO as of 1 May 2024. Hannu Lehto will continue in the board member role in addition to assuming his duties as the CEO.
"We are constantly doing everything we can to find the best possible solution to the situation in terms of the company's continuity and the shareholders. As everyone knows, the market situation has been really challenging and we believe that the solutions can be found in the planned transition to new business areas. I am committed to promoting the sale of business parts and structural arrangements towards the new, and Lehto's planned transition to new business areas needs a new leader", Hietanen explains the background of his decision."
"The company no longer has a construction business and we are evaluating options for moving into new business areas. Entrepreneurship is needed at this stage of the company and I feel that I have something to contribute in that field. Our organization has shrunk to a very small size and we are setting up a team to take the company to a new stage", says Hannu Lehto.
