BAD VILBEL, Germany (AFX) - STADA Arzneinmittel AG said it intends to cut prices on several generics drugs in the German market from July 1, with many pharmacy retail prices for active ingredients to be cut by more than 50 pct.
The generics maker said the price cuts do not change the group's growth outlook for fiscal year 2006.
The price reductions will affect more than 50 pct of its German unit's portfolio of prescription-only active ingredients.
The total volume of the reductions amounts to around 32 mln eur, resulting in savings for patients of around 7 mln eur annually.
