DZS Inc. releases timeline and process for the sale of DZS technology and related assets
DALLAS, Texas, USA, March 25, 2025 - DZS Inc. and related entities filed their respective Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions on March 14, 2025 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The Trustee will be marketing and selling the assets of the Bankruptcy Estate through a Court approved process. All assets (technology, IP, software, lab equipment, inventory, IT systems, eligible contracts, BOM, etc.) will be sold on an "AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS" basis, and subject to Bankruptcy Court approval. The Debtor has provided the following descriptions of the assets to be sold, which include the following:
• DZS Velocity Optical Line Terminal (OLT) Systems:
- Hardened, standards-based OLT chassis and systems in a range of flexible form factors that deliver performance, density and scalability with in-place upgrades from 10G to 50G/100G technologies and featuring software-defined networking functionality
• DZS Saber Optical Transports Systems:
- Compact, environmentally hardened DWDM edge transport systems featuring 100G-400G per lambda and multi-degree CDC FlexGrid ROADM
• DZS Helix Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), Gateways, and Access Points:
- A wide array of residential and business ONTs for GPON, XGS-PON, and Active Ethernet technologies, some with gateway Wi-Fi 6/7 integrated, as well as standalone Wi-Fi 6/7 gateway and access point solutions and proven interoperability
• DZS Xtreme Network Management, Automation, and Orchestration Software:
- Vendor-agnostic network management, automation, orchestration, and SDN management and control software that simplifies and accelerates the introduction of new services from on-boarding new equipment and software, to testing, turn-up, administration and management

Planned Time Line: The Trustee will be seeking Court approval for a bid process in which final bids will be submitted during the week of April 7, 2025 and approval of the sale by the end of April 2025.
