Jenny Hammarberg Appointed CEO of Lawline - Bringing Legal Expertise to Users Through AI

Lawline has appointed Jenny Hammarberg as its new Chief Executive Officer. She joins from her previous role as CEO of Setterwalls Advokatbyrå in Gothenburg and has previous experience as a management consultant at EY. She takes on the role at a pivotal moment as Lawline launches its new platform for businesses, organisations, and private individuals.

STOCKHOLM, SE / ACCESS Newswire / April 1, 2026 / Lawline, the market leader for accessible law online since 2005, has set its sights on transforming how legal services are accessed and used. Rather than legal advice being purchased reactively after the fact, the vision is for legal guidance to be available at the moment of decision.

"I have seen too many situations where legal counsel arrives when it is already too late - where a simple answer could have saved money, unnecessary frustration, and energy. Legal support should not be something you activate when things are already on fire."

- Jenny Hammarberg, CEO, Lawline

Lawline is positioning itself differently from much of the legaltech market, which largely focuses on improving efficiency for law firms.

"I find it striking that so much legaltech is still being built for lawyers. I have tested various tools myself - they are genuinely impressive - but law affects people and businesses every single day. I strongly believe in making legal knowledge directly accessible where questions arise, without intermediaries."

- Jenny Hammarberg

On the business market, Hammarberg sees a clear structural challenge.

"Businesses must simultaneously manage regulatory requirements, industry rules, and internal policies. Keeping track of everything is not easy today, and an external lawyer seldom has all the necessary information at hand. This is what we want to change with our platform, which is available to answer questions 24/7."

- Jenny Hammarberg

Lawline launched a beta version of its new platform, Lawline AI, in the second half of February. Since launch, the platform has attracted more than 4,500 registered users and has been recognised as one of the "Top 9 AI Legal Startups in the Nordics," alongside companies including Legora. Additional features with a sharper focus on businesses and organisations will be released in the coming weeks.

"General-purpose AI tools can deliver quick answers, but law demands precision and accountability. If legal guidance is to be trusted in real decisions, the quality must be higher than that."

- Jenny Hammarberg

The board views the appointment as a strategic step for the company.

"Lawline is entering a phase where the company will scale its platform and take a clearer position in the market. Jenny has experience leading legal operations and driving change at the intersection of business and technology. That is crucial for the company's next chapter."

- Magnus Stuart, Chairman of the Board, Lawline

About Law line

This accumulated legal knowledge, combined with the full body of Swedish legislation, forms the foundation of the AI-driven platform now being launched. The platform is built on specialised legal AI - developed specifically for legal questions and reinforced by deep legal expertise.
