SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- Eastman Kodak Co. plans to cancel its program to develop and market Polarizer Films for the LCD industry, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission after Friday's closing bell. The move will result in total charges of $34 million. The Rochester, N.Y.-based company said the action is part of its previously announced restructuring program and that it expects the cancellation of the program to be complete by June 30. The estimated charges exclude the potential impacts from any pension plan settlement or curtailment gains or losses. This story was supplied by MarketWatch.
