WASHINGTON (AFX) -- Retail gasoline prices rose another 10 cents last week to an average of $2.83 a gallon, the highest since early October, the Energy Department said Monday. Retail prices have risen 11% in the past month and are up about 29% since prices bottomed at $2.20 in November. The average price for regular gas rose 10 cents to $2.78. Premium gas cost an average of $2.99 a gallon. The Central Atlantic states saw the biggest increase: up 13 cents to $2.86. The most expensive gas was in the West Coast at $2.89.
