WASHINGTON (AFX) -- U.S. retail gasoline prices fell by about 1 cent nationwide last week to $2.96 per gallon, for the first decline in six weeks, but prices in California jumped 13 cents to $3.38, the Energy Department said Monday. Prices for reformulated gasoline rose by about 4 cents to $3.12 per gallon. Prices for conventional gas fell about 3 cents to $2.88. The cheapest gas was in the Midwest at $2.81.
