LONDON (AFX) - National Express Group PLC, the bus, coach and trains group, said trading across the group is in line with expectations, and announced the appointment of Richard Bowker as the new group CEO with effect from early September.
Bowker will succeed Phil White, who announced his retirement in March.
In an AGM statement, chairman David Ross said: 'Alsa is trading well and its integration into the group is on schedule.'
Its North American operations experienced a very good bid season and its UK bus and coach operations continued to perform well.
'Looking forward, we continue to monitor the cost of fuel and will mitigate its effect where practicable. The board remains confident of the group's future prospects.' newsdesk@afxnews.com ra COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. All rights reserved.
