HOUSTON (AFX) -- The jury deliberating the fraud and conspiracy case against former Enron chiefs Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling adjourned after a fifth day of deliberations Wednesday without reaching a verdict. The eight-woman, four-man jury has been poring over evidence in a federal bankruptcy courthouse in Houston since the case was concluded last Wednesday. They did not meet on Friday. Enron founder Lay, 64, faces six charges of conspiracy, wires and securities fraud. Former chief executive Skilling, 52, faces 28 counts, including the additional charge of insider trading.
