HOUSTON (AFX) - Oil and gas explorer and developer Mariner Energy Inc. said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Rick Lester will leave the company later this summer to 'pursue personal interests.'
Lester, 54, plans to continue as CFO and vice president until about Aug. 15, the company said. He may continue after that on a consulting basis.
The company said it has begun a search for his successor.
Mariner Energy shares rose 47 cents, or 2.5 percent, to close at $18.98 on the New York Stock Exchange.
