ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (AFX) - The Securities and Exchange Commission has ended its review of steel-products maker Material Sciences Corp.'s financial-reporting controls, the company said Thursday.
The company had announced the SEC review in May, saying the agency requested information regarding 'material weaknesses' in the company's internal control over financial reporting disclosed in its annual report for the year ended Feb. 28, 2005.
Material Sciences said it cooperated fully with the review, and the SEC notified it on June 30 that the review was concluded.
The company's shares closed up 12 cents at $8.84 on the New York Stock Exchange.
