(AFX) - ECONOMIC MEETING: President Bush and the leaders of seven other nations will gather next week for the annual G-8 summit.
OUT OF DATE?: But the G-8, which was organized in the 1970s and added its last new member, Russia, in 1998, might be behind the times.
NON-MEMBERS: China, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico and Spain all have larger economies than at least one of the G-8 members.
LOOKING FORWARD: Nevertheless, G-8 membership is not likely to change soon.
