SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AFX) - Information technology software maker Opsware Inc. said Wednesday it named David F. Conte chief financial officer.
Conte, who has been with the company since 1999, takes the position immediately. Former CFO Sharlene Abrams resigned but will stay with the company through Oct. 31 as part of the transition.
Conte most recently was vice president of finance and corporate controller, as well as head of risk management and treasury. Before joining Opsware, he was at Ernst & Young for 11 years.
Opsware fell 9 cents to close at $7.37 on the Nasdaq.
