BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. (AFX) - Cancer drug developer Genta Inc. said Friday board of directors member Jerome Groopman resigned for personal health reasons.
Groopman has served on the board since 2002.
'Over the past few years his advice and counsel have been an incredible asset to his colleagues on our board and we are all deeply grateful of his years of service,' said Dr. Raymond P. Warrell Jr., chairman and chief executive, in a statement. 'We understand this decision and wish him well during his recovery.'
Shares of Genta fell 2 cents to close at $1.34 on the Nasdaq.
