JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AFX) - St. Joe Co., a real estate development company, said Monday it promoted Britt Greene to chief operating officer and Chris Corr to the newly created position of chief strategy officer.
Greene, 51, was previously the president of the St. Joe Towns & Resorts and St. Joe Commercial units. He replaces Kevin M. Twomey, who in February announced plans to retire.
'Britt's first task will be to reorganize our operations to deal intelligently and effectively with the market conditions we face today, and to help position St. Joe for growth when the cycle turns,' said Peter S. Rummell, St. Joe's chairman and chief executive.
Corr, 42, was St. Joe's senior vice president of strategic planning.
'Chris will focus on strategies essential to creating a pipeline of opportunities for the longer term,' said Rummell.
Shares of St. Joe closed up 54 cents at $49.50 on the New York Stock Exchange.
