LONDON (AFX) - British Airways PLC said it has cancelled 20 pct, or 39 of its short-haul flights from London Heathrow airport tomorrow, along with five long-haul flights, as a result of the continuing congestion at the airport following increased anti-terror security measures.
The flagship carrier said on its website that it also expects to cancel all domestic flights from London Gatwick airport, excluding flights to Jersey.
The airline today cancelled 95 European and domestic flights, and 10 to the US from Heathrow, alongside domestic flights excluding Jersey from Gatwick airport.
Airport operator BAA PLC earlier said that between one fifth to a third of all departing flights would be cancelled tomorrow at Heathrow. newsdesk@afxnews.com cml COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005.
