HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AFX) - Avocent Corp., a maker of routing and switching equipment, said Wednesday that computer hardware maker ClearCube Technology Inc. has agreed to license some of its patents, and as a result the companies have dismissed related litigation.
Austin, Texas-based ClearCube is also evaluating other technologies within Avocent's Desktop Solutions division for potential license, the company said.
Avocent said it does not expect the agreement to affect its expected revenue for the rest of 2006.
Avocent's shares fell 46 cents to close at $27.26 on the Nasdaq, but gained 22 cents in aftermarket trading on the INET electronic exchange.
