ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AFX) - Eastman Kodak Co., a maker of digital cameras and provider of photographic services, said Wednesday it signed a multi-year contract with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to install 2,000 picture kiosks in 1,000 of the retail chain's stores.
The installed units will be G4 Picture Kiosks, which support all popular digital photo formats, according to Kodak. Currently Kodak has roughly 80,000 photo kiosks installed worldwide.
Kodak declined to comment on the duration or financial terms of the agreement.
Shares of Kodak rose 12 cents to close earlier at $21.20 on the New York Stock Exchange, while shares of Wal-Mart fell 17 cents to finish at $45.40.
