BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - DuPont (NYSE DD) said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the China Academy of Safety Science & Technology (CASST) covering a tieup for improving industrial safety practices in China.
CASST and DuPont will focus their attention initially on chemical production and handling, and industrial flash fire safety and protection, but expect the scope of work to expand considerably over time.
DuPont said in a statement that its Personal Protection (DPP) division and CASST bring to the effort extensive experience in research and development, standards development and safety assessment and training.
