SYDNEY (XFN-ASIA) - Publishing & Broadcasting Ltd executive chairman James Packer has joined a consortium prepared to buy the Aston Martin car company for about 600 mln stg, the UK's Sunday Telegraph reported without citing sources.
Packer, Australia's richest man and an Aston Martin driver, is part of an Australian consortium of 'industrial and financial investors' shortlisted with three other potential buyers.
The paper said the former chief executive of Ford, the Australian Jac Nasser, has been knocked out of the running.
