
SYDNEY (XFN-ASIA) - Babcock & Brown Wind Partners (BBWP) said it has agreed to acquire Germany's Kaarst wind farm from developer Plambeck Neue Energien AG for about 30 mln aud.
The listed unit of investment and advisory firm Babcock & Brown Ltd said the wind farm currently has a total installed capacity of 10 megawatts and expected net energy production of 19,342 megawatts per per annum with a further 2 MW of capacity expected to be constructed during 2007.
It said the acquisition represents a continuation of a strategy of investing in and managing a diversified global portfolio of wind farms and will increase the total number of operational wind farms to 22.
BBW also said it has upgraded its distribution for the year to June 2007 to 0.125 aud per security from 0.112 aud.
